The passing of Ron Potts

IEEE Canada was saddened to learn that our friend and colleague Mr. Ron Potts has passed away in the Fort Erie Hospital, on 15 September 2016 in his 95th year, after a very brief illness. Mr. Potts was an IEEE Life Senior Member who was Chair of the IEEE Canada Life Members Committee for seven years, and chaired the Niagara Falls International Section between 1974 and 1975. He subsequently served as Chair of the Hamilton Section for several years. Ron retired as V.P. from Acres Engineering in 1988. In 2005 Ron received the Central Canada Council Blythe Broughton Merit Service Award. Another of his interests was researching the history of the Welland Canal. http://canrev.ieee.ca/cr47/page13.pdf.

Ron will be remembered in so many ways; warm hearted, energetic, family focused, technologically accomplished, and history buff.
