IEEE Canada Ottawa Section and CPEIA forge strategic partnership

The IEEE and the Canadian Printable Electronics Industry Association (www.cpeia-acei.ca), have entered into a strategic partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the IEEE Ottawa Section and the CPEIA, to introduce printable and flexible electronics (PE) to IEEE members as a toolset for developing new products and applications and enhanc-ing existing ones.

This is the second ever NSA (National Society Agreement) in IEEE Canada, the first being with the Canadian Remote Sensing Society. Congratulate on the official approval of the NSA!

Workshop on Communications, Computation and Control for Resilient Smart Energy Systems

Date: June 21, 2016
Location: Waterloo

The workshop on Communications, Computation and Control for Resilient Smart Energy Systems, co-located with the seventh ACM International Conference on Future Energy Systems (ACM e-Energy), will be held on June 21, 2016 in Waterloo, Ontario. This workshop focuses on cyber-enabled techniques for resilient energy system design and operation. Special emphasis will be placed on strategies that harness communications, computation and/or control to improve system operation through increased adaptability, reliability, functionality and efficiency.

2016 IEEE World Congress on Computational Intelligence

Date: July 25-29, 2016
Location: Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle, Vancouver

The bi-annual IEEE World Congress on Computational Intelligence (IEEE WCCI) is the largest technical event in the field of computational intelligence. The IEEE WCCI 2016 will host three conferences: The 2016 International Joint Conference on Neural Networks (IJCNN 2016), the 2016 IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems (FUZZ-IEEE 2016), and the 2016 IEEE Congress on Evolutionary Computation (IEEE CEC 2016) under one roof. It encourages cross-fertilization of ideas among the three big areas and provides a forum for intellectuals from all over the world to discuss and present their research findings on computational intelligence.

Volunteers Needed for IEEE Canada's Translation Committee

The IEEE Canada's Translation Committee welcomes translator volunteers to meeting the needs of IEEE Canada's many publications, groups and activities.

Whether you are new to the translation world or in need of populating your CV with quality references, there are always volunteer translation opportunities available, including the IEEE Canadian Review, the Canadian Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering, IEEE Canada Newsletters, the annual IEEE Canada Awards Ceremony Program, IEEE Canada Bylaws, welcome speeches, conference materials, and other assignments too!

You do not need to give up a great deal of your time to volunteer as a translator. The time you devote is up to you.
