Education:
He graduated from the Technical University of Nova Scotia in 1998 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He currently holds various certifications from Cisco and Hewlett Packard in the area of network management technologies.

Work experience:
Since 1998 he has been working with NBTel, now known as Aliant in the area of network management systems and services.

Professional memberships and interests:
He is a member of the IEEE and the Association of Professional Engineers and Geologists of New Brunswick.
