The IEEE Student Branch at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) has won first place in the 2004 IEEE Student Branch Web site contest. IEEE Student Branches at New York Institute of Technology-Manhattan Campus and Algonquin College win second- and third-place honors, respectively. Entries in the annual contest are judged in three areas: content, navigability and originality. Monetary awards are given in the amounts of US$1000, $750 and $500 for first, second and third place winners. New IEEE online publication focuses on network and service management

The first issue of a new IEEE online publication is now available and accessible for free online for all users with an IEEE web account. e-Transactions on Network and Service Management (eTNMS) is an introductory initiative of the IEEE Communication Society for timely electronic presentation of archival research on the management of networks, systems, services and applications, as well as on issues in communications software, service engineering, policies and business processes for network and service management. Although it is not yet an IEEE journal, the success of eTNSM will encourage a future initiative toward an IEEE electronic transactions journal in this area. The articles of the inaugural issue and a call for papers for future issues are now available online at http://www.comsoc.org/livepubs/etn/public/2004/apr/index.html.

IEEE announces new way to access online technical information

The IEEE has announced the July 2004 release of IEEE Enterprise, a new product developed to deliver online technical information to organizations with a need for instant access to IEEE content. Subscribers to IEEE Enterprise will be able to choose from three levels of access to IEEE information. Each level will allow a specific number of full-text article downloads from the online collection of IEEE magazines, journals, transactions and conference proceedings. Access continues until all downloads are exhausted, at which point a subscription may be renewed. For more information on IEEE Enterprise, visit http://www.ieee.org/enterprise.
