Success Stories of Sections, Groups, and IEEE Volunteers
IEEE Canada Computer Society Distinguished Speaker
IEEE Canada Computer Society organized a series of distinguished speaker sessions by Dr. Yuhong Liu in five cities of Western Canada. On October 7, Southern Alberta Section had the privilege of hosting Dr. Yuhong Liu from Santa Clara University, for a fascinating talk on "Trust and Privacy Vulnerabilities in Online Social Networks." Dr. Liu's insightful presentation delved into the intricacies of privacy concerns and trust issues that have emerged in today's digital social platforms, offering a deep understanding of both the challenges and potential solutions. The event was well-received by attendees and highlighted the critical need for addressing these vulnerabilities in the online landscape. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Liu for visiting Calgary and sharing her expertise.
